Prentis is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder at Varis, leading the company’s mission to revolutionize procurement through innovative technology. He has extensive experience building, operating, and scaling procurement technology and e-commerce businesses.  He held executive roles at Amazon, where he founded Amazon Business and scaled it from a concept to a $15B+ division.  He also served as President at Boxed, an innovative e-commerce startup, and led global sourcing and procurement at Cisco Systems, driving efficiency and innovation in large-scale operations. He holds an MBA and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Daniel Smith is the Chief Operating Officer at Varis, where he oversees product, engineering, and customer-facing functions. With extensive experience launching and scaling businesses, Daniel previously led Amazon Business for Education to over $2B and founded Amazon’s B2B division for Devices & Digital Services serving millions of end users. His career also includes executive roles at Perot Systems and Dell, focusing on international expansion, M&A, and founding a managed services joint venture. Having started his career as an EdTech entrepreneur, Daniel is passionate about using technology to tackle complex challenges for customers. He holds a BA from Texas A&M University and was a Marshall Memorial Fellow.

Jason Fraysier is the Chief Financial Officer and co-founder at Varis, where he oversees financial strategy and operations for the digital procurement and commerce platform, driving value for suppliers and buying organizations. With over two decades of finance leadership experience, he has held key roles from large tech companies at Amazon and Snap to PE-backed startups. He has a track record of launching and scaling new ventures such as Prime Music and Amazon Business and leading finance teams of 80+ in supporting multi-billion-dollar initiatives in Selling Partner Services and digital media. Jason holds an MBA from the Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA program and a BS in Finance from Penn State University.
